Katarina Witt, for my money is the sexiest athlete ever to grace the pages of Playboy; you may have your favorites in the form of Gabrielle Reece or Amanda Beard, but for me this German figure skater is the epitome of the fair-skinned busty athletic babe with a sweet smile. I know she’s not Nordic but am tempted to call her a Norse goddess.

Katarina isn’t just a sexy body, she is one of the most successful figure skaters of all time. She has won two Olympic golds, one in 1984 in Sarajevo and the other in Calgary in 1988. Katarina won six consecutive European titles from 1983 to 1988. She was the world champion in 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988. She had lost the title in 1986 to Debi Thomas.

The 1998 issue of Playboy in which Katarina Witt appeared nude was only the second-ever sold-out issue of the magazine. The first one was the issue that features Marylin Monroe. Katarina has been called one of the most beautiful faces ever to have represented a socialist country. Katarina was born in 1965, so in 1998 when she posed for Playboy she was a deliciously ripe 32 years of age.
