In the village called Saini Sunpura, 25 miles east of New Delhi, India a 3-week old baby is being worshipped as the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess. The baby, Lali, is born with a rare condition called face duplication wherein she is born with a single body and two faces. Except for her ears, all of Lali’s facial features are duplicated - she has two noses, two pairs of eyes and two pairs of lips.

The baby is considered a gift of god and being worshipped by the villagers. A average of 100 number of people visit to see the baby everyday.

The doctor’s have said she was doing well and is leading a normal life with no breathing difficulties and that there is no need for a surgery.

Lali is the first child of the couple married in February 2007. The average income of the family is less than $2 per day.
