Trisha Meili was a rape victim in New York City’s Central park while jogging, on April 19, 1989.

28-year old Trisha Meili worked at the Wall Street investment bank Salomon Brothers, but went into seclusion for 14 years after the crime took place.

Trisha Meili was not only raped but almost beaten to death and her skull had been fractured severely. Her physicians thought that she wouldn’t survive or remain in a state of coma due to the injuries. Trisha however recovered but with no memory of the attack that had taken place at the central Park.

She revealed her identity to the media in 2003 and published a memoir- I Am The Central Park Jogger, and began a career as an inspirational speaker.
